IAP Sponsors 5 New Awards

We are pleased to announce that we have signed a 10 year agreement with DDL/AECT to sponsor a series of five annual distance learning awards.

AECT Distance Learning is currently inviting applications for four new awards, in addition to the Crystal Award.

IAP Distance Education Book Award - The outstanding book published within the last three years that describes important aspects of distance education, theory or examples that can help others involved in distance education, or research on an important aspect of distance education. IAP Journal Award for distance education article. This annual award for an outstanding article published in the last three years that describes best practices in distance education or the research on an important aspect of distance education. Contact glenda.gunter@ucf.edu.

IAP & DDL Distance Education Best Practices - The practice that is submitted can be any aspect of distance education that qualigy as a best practice. This means that it can serve as an example that can be emulated by others based on the description submitted. The example that is submitted may one that is used online, in a CD-ROM/DVD, or within a video-based course. Contact nwayer@coe.ufl.edu.

IAP & DDL Burmeister Outstanding DLL sponsored AECT presentation on distance learning. This award will be given out annually to honor a DDL-sponsored session that is an example of the best practices in distance education or leads to the improvement of distance education. All DLL-sponsored concurrent session presentations at this year's conference will be considered for this award that will be recognized at next year's conference.
